April 8th GriffonRawl is proud to announce we will be holding a 2 hour MMA Seminar that will be taught by Dan Swift. Dan has an extensive amount of experience in MMA. He has fought UFC vets Roger Huerta, Jeff Curan and Miguel Torres. Dan has a three stripe purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Jorge Gurgel and Jon Stutzman. This is a good opportunity for all of our MMA students to come and enhance their techniques as well as all of those who are just thinking about training in MMA to come and get some hands on experience.

NAAFS "Midwest Combat Challenge 13"

On Saturday, March 12, 2011 Team GriffonRawl will be well represented in the NAAFS' "Midwest Combat Challenge 13." MWCC 13 will be held at Chapparell's Community Center in Akron, Ohio. Currently set to compete: John Burbol (5-3) at 185lbs; Dan Vandevender(debut) at 150lbs; Brad Bukovics (debut) at 170lbs; Mike MacDonald (0-1) at 145lbs; Zoran Laden (1-0) at 185lbs; and in the main event of the night Chuck Schilling (6-2) makes his long awaited return at 145lbs.

NAAFS "Caged Fury 14"

On Saturday February 26, 2011 three GriffonRawl warriors will be in action at the historic Grays Armory in downtown Cleveland. Miguel Defina (170) looks to rebound as he faces Dave Spedell. John Burbol (185) looks to continue his winning ways as he takes a step up in competition, facing unbeaten Blake Chatam. Finally, Bryon McCroskey makes his anticipated professional debut as he takes on the undefeated and nationally decorated wrestling phenom Clint Musser.

NAAFS "Night of Champions 2010"

On Saturday, December 4, 2010, two of Griffonrawl's warriors will enter the cage at the historic Gray's Armory in Cleveland, Ohio with each having the chance to make NAAFS history!
Donny 'Eagle Eye' Walker looks to be the first NAAFS professional to successfully defend his belt. No champion, regardless of weight class, has done so. Donny will be taking on the rising star, Billy Vaugh who is coming of three successful wins and called for his shot at the title in Columbus in September.
'Bonesaw' George Comer looks to be the first amateur to win NAAFS titles in successive years, but George has an even more unique opportunity than simply repeating as champion. The 2009 NAAFS amateur Lightweight champion looks to gain the 2010 Welterweight championship as he takes on Evolve MMA's Josh Oppenheimer.

NAAFS Full Contact Kickboxing

On Saturday November 13th, 2010 the NAAFS will host its annual Kickboxing show at Tangiers Entertainment Center in Akron, Ohio. This event will feature three GriffonRawl fighters as Bryon McCroskey is set to be the main event and will be joined by stable mates Ryan Lose & Kevin Peterson. This will be all three guys first Kickboxing match ever. Bryon McCroskey & Ryan Lose have been official GR fighters for a while now and both have lots of MMA fight expereince but this will be Kevin's debut for the team.
