Chris "The Westside Strangler" Brennan MMA Seminar

Chris is a UFC, Pride, ADCC, & former King of the Cage Champion. He is a also a Black Belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. We will be bringing him in for a seminar on Sunday December 9th and the time for the seminar is tentativley set for 12:00pm and going to 3:00pm. The Seminar cost is $50 for GR members and $70 for non-members. Jason Dent is taking a list of names of those who wish to pre-pay their seminar fee to reserve their spot. Should the seminar get canceled for any reason your money will be refunded immediatly. SFN Ultimate Cage Fighting

This will be a Pro/AM MMA fight card held locally right here in Cleveland. GriffonRawl fighters set to compete are Mike "The Bull" Russo, Donny "Eagle Eye" Walker, and Jason "Dynamite" Dent. It's exciting to see all three Pro fighters from GR all competing on the same card. Between the three of them they have like 58 fights under there belts not including any toughmans or Muay Thai fights. Also another interesting fact is they are all veterans of some of the biggest MMA Organizations out there. Mike has fought in SuperBrawl, Donny in KOTC, and Jason in the UFC. Tickets are for sale here at the GR Academy now so make sure to buy some tickets and come out and support our guys. Pre Sale ticket prices are $25 for GA and $40 for reserved seating. 2007 Cleveland Amateur Golden Gloves Qualifying Tournament GriffonRawl's own, Aaron Petit is fighting in this years Golden Gloves Qualifier. Cornering Aaron, will be our Boxing Instructor Ken Curtis and Gym Owner Jason Dent. The preliminaries are Friday April 13th. The semi-finals are being held Saturday April 14th. Both will be held at The Galleria at Erieview, 1301 E.9th Street Cleveland, Ohio 44114. He has trained privately on a weekly basis for the the last two years and he is making his amatuer kickboxing debut also on the card and making his amatuer debut is Silas Maynard. He will be cornered by top GR fighter & Coach Ben "Thundercat" Parks and GR Boxing Coach Ken Curtis because both Jason and Mike will be in Rockford, Illinois with Donny for his fight against Jeff Curran at KOTC the very same weekend. Please come out and show your support for Tom. With the rapid growth of NAAFS MMA in 06’ the series has decided to venture into amateur kickboxing and has set up a trial show for this January 20th in Akron, Ohio at the Chaparrell's Community Center. “NAAFS kickboxing will allow fighters to work on their striking and gain valuable experience in the ring” said NAAFS spokesman Jake Digman. “We have many of the MMA guys crossing over to fine tune their stand up and get ready for the 2007 MMA season. We have also opened up a new avenue for many of the kick boxers in this region who do not often get a chance to compete.
