Four Fighters to Evolve's 1st Kickboxing Smoker for 2014

February 21st Evolve holds their first kickboxing Smoker of 2014.  Looking to expand on the very successful series from 2013, they've added bouts and gyms to the lineup.  GR is sending four warriors this time.  So save the Friday, and make the trip South with your GR family to cheer Khalil, Nikolai, Jim and Sammy to victory.

Smokers are informal, the results are not part of a fighter’s official record.  Any gym member, with Jason’s permission, can fight.  This is one of the times when GR members compete on an equal footing with members of the fight team.  But it is full contact, and while rounds are shorter the fights are taken seriously by the competitors.

Five GriffonRawl Fighters to Compete in First WKA Kickboxing Smoker

July 19th five GR members make the trip to Stow, OH for the World Kickboxing Academy’s first Smoker.  WKA is a new facility owned and run by longtime GR friend and associate Ryan Madigan.  There will be a after party at Chelsea's restaurant/bar located right down the road. Make the trip with us and support the GR Team!

Dent, Comer and Sam Callari at Fight Night in the Flats IX

Three of GriffonRawl's best will glove up for the NAAFS Summer blockbuster event on June 1st.  NAAFS traditionally pulls out all the stops for the first big show of the Summer and this year does not disappoint.  The card is a Who's Who of fighters who rose through the NAAFS system.  Dent, Petz, Eye, Blackwell, Taylor and Duell are all featured along with many more who are still making their marks.

Sammy Callari (3-1) kicks it off for GR at 155# in the preliminary card against Evolve MMA's Izzie William (4-1).   George Comer (11-1, 155#) goes next on the main card against Brian Camozzi (5-0, Factory X, Denver, CO).  Camozzi is the younger brother of UFC fighter Chris Camozzi.  Jason Dent rounds out the evening for GR, no opponent has been announced for Jason yet.

Fight Nite in the Flats IX will take place at the Jacobs Pavilion at Nautica in downtown Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday June 1st. Doors open at 5 pm with first bell scheduled for 5:30 pm (prelims).

GR has 5 guys fighting in the NAAFS Cage Fighting event that will be held on Saturday April 27th in Akron.  Two of our fight team and three GR members will glove up and fight the best of the local talent in their weight classes.  Be sure to reserve the day and come out to support the Academy.  Doors open at 6 pm.
