Attention members! It's official GR is hosting an intra-academy grappling tournament on Saturday November 19th. We held a grappling tournament over a year ago with tremendous success and look forward to another successful tournament. We are putting the event together as we speak. There are a few items we can say for sure at this time: 1--The tournament will be limited to GriffonRawl members ONLY! It's a chance for our school to pull ourselves to a higher level of grappling, but is not an event pitting academy vs. academy. 2--The tournament will be a NO-GI event. 3--There will be a small fee of $10ea for the event if you pre-register or it will be $15 if you wait to pay the day of. 4--Weigh-ins will be held the day of the event. 5--Weight classes will be determined the day of the event based on the number of participants and the range of weights based on said participants. 6--The tournament will be double elimination ensuring everyone at least two matches.Stay tuned for further information! We plan to award all 1st place winners of each division with an engraved trophy. Any and all extra funds that are made will be put towards buying GR a new Muay Thai heavy bag.
