On May 12th Jason Dent makes
good on his announced intention to keep active in 2012 and steps into
the cage against the globe trotting Rustam Khabilov (13-1-0) for Pure
MMA in Wilkes Barre, PA.
Originally from Russia, Khabilov is now
training with Greg Jackson's in New Mexico. Khabilov has fights for
M-1 Global, Pro Fighting (Russia), and One FC on his record. His
most recent was in Jakarta, Indonesia winning a unanimous decision
in MMA against World BJJ Champion Rodrigo Ribiero (9-8-0).
Earlier in his career, Khalibov won
both the Russian National Championship and the World Championship
in Combat Sambo, and was the 2009 Welterweight World Champion for the
M-1 Global Challenge Series
Khalibov has fights both as a
Welterweight and a Lightweight. The fight with Jason will be at a
catch weight of 160#.
